Brett Kean, who threw an interception on his first play while replacing injured starter Quinton Flowers, is sacked in the end zone by Romond Deloatch on his second snap for a safety. Temple leads 46-30 with less than three minutes left.

Jahad Thomas runs in for a 9-yard touchdown set up by a punt block by Avery Ellis as Temple takes its largest lead of the game over USF at 34-23 late in the third quarter.


Armstead's big night continues for Temple

Ryquell Armstead managed his second long touchdown of the game running off right tackle for a 42-yard TD as Temple regains the lead 27-23 over USF.


South Florida scores in a hurry

Quinton Flowers runs in for a 3-yard TD as USF caps a three-play, 84-yard drive. USF moved ahead of Temple 23-20 late in the third quarter, only to see the Owls retake the lead minutes later.

Ventell Bryant makes a catch while falling for a 36-yard gain in the closing seconds of the half. The catch set up a 35-yard FG by Aaron Boumerhi as the Owls take a 20-13 halftime lead over South Florida.

Ryquell Armstead breaks through the line and takes it 76 yards for a TD to give Temple the lead.

Quinton Flowers throws a 31-yard touchdown to a streaking Tyre McCants for his second touchdown of the game to give USF a 13-10 lead over Temple.

Phillip Walker rolls right to get the USF defense to bite and then looks back across the field for tight end Colin Thompson for a 1-yard score. Temple regains the lead on USF 10-7 midway through the second quarter.


Flowers makes it happen with his feet

USF's Quinton Flowers fakes a screen pass and looks left before rolling right to find Marquez Valdes-Scantling open in the end zone for a touchdown.


Line-drive punt does job for Temple

Rugby-style punter Alex Starzyk struggles with the snap and has his timing thrown off with a liner downfield. The punt managed to go 35 yards to USF's 32-yard line. Temple leads 3-0 late in the first quarter.
