American coaches: Is the Playoff system fair? (2:13)

Mark Schlabach ESPN Senior Writer

AAC commissioner Mike Aresco said he believes the Big 12 will expand. While the current Big 12 schools must settle on additions and work out issues with network partners, Aresco said the league seems to be "more serious this time." Several AAC teams - Cincinnati, UConn, Houston, Memphis, Tulane, UCF and USF - are considered potential Big 12 targets. "Here we go again," Aresco said during an ESPN event in Hartford on Tuesday. "It presents a new challenge. It's not a surprise. This has been two years in the making. We're going to have to deal with it."
