Best quarterbacks of Week 11: Nick Starkel

Starkel started for the first time since Week 1, and he quickly made up for lost time by throwing for a 60-yard touchdown on the second play of the game. That was just the start of his big day.

Texas A&M WR Kirk defends embattled Sumlin

Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin has come under intense criticism from the Aggie faithful, but All-American wideout Christian Kirk said after Saturday's win over New Mexico that there is no other coach he would rather play for.

Texas A&M receiver Christian Kirk had strong words in support of coach Kevin Sumlin, whose job status has been of much speculation in recent weeks: "There's not another college football coach that I'd rather play for in the country."

Texas A&M QB Nick Starkel's return to the starting lineup has been triumphant so far. The redshirt freshman is 21-for-30 passing for 416 yards and four touchdowns in a half of play. The Aggies lead New Mexico 48-7 at halftime.

New Mexico sophomore Elijah Lilly's 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown vs. Texas A&M is the Lobos' first road touchdown since Sept. 23, vs. Tulsa. The Lobos still have an active streak of 43 offensive drives without a road touchdown.

Few are better in the return game than Texas A&M's Christian Kirk. The junior's 90-yard punt return for a touchdown vs. New Mexico was his sixth career punt return for a score. Only Washington's Dante Pettis (nine) has more.
