Old ACC rivals Maryland and Virginia have announced a two-game nonconference series for 2023-24. The Terrapins will host the first meeting on Sept. 16, 2023, and the Cavaliers will be home for the second game on Sept. 14, 2024. Maryland has played Virginia 78 times, more than any other opponent, and has a 44-32-2 record in the series.

Virginia got some good news Monday when All-ACC safety Quin Blanding announced he would return for his senior season. Blanding has 358 career tackles, most among all retuning FBS players next season. His return means the Hoos bring back their top two players, as linebacker Micah Kiser previously announced he would play his senior season.
