Sky high expectations for Charlie Strong

The first-year USF coach inherits 16 returning starters from an 11-win team. Anything short of an AAC East title will be disappointing in Year 1.

Rodney Adams helped transform USF's offense from 'bland and one-dimensional' to 'exhilarating.' A real vertical threat, he not only helped salvage the season, but Willie Taggart's job. Still get goosebumps thinking about his 97-yard KO return for a TD vs. Navy.

The Vikings wanted to add another receiver at some point in the draft, and Rodney Adams gives them a player who could contribute as a kick returner in the short-term. Adams could get an early shot to replace Cordarrelle Patterson, as the Vikings determine how to use him on offense.

The Bucs' new locker room space at Raymond James Stadium is directly across from where the old locker rooms were. It'll feature 18,000 square feet of space. University of South Florida football players will have their own locker room, and that will be at the site of the old home locker room.

ESPN's FPI gives just four teams better than a 50 percent chance to win every game on their schedule next season. Ohio State is the most likely team to pull off the feat, but the Buckeyes will face a stiff test against Oklahoma during that quest.

I'm told that USF offensive lineman Kofi Amichia had a private workout this morning with the 49ers. He put up 32 reps on the bench press at his pro day two weeks ago. He started 25 straight games at left tackle for the Bulls, but I'm told they're more interested in him at guard and center.
