Colorado and Northwestern announced they will play a home-and-home series next decade. The series will begin in Evanston on Sept. 19, 2026, and return to Boulder on Sept. 11, the following year. “This will be a great series for several reasons,” Colorado athletic director Rick George said in a statement. “Not only is it a quality match-up between two great academic and Pac-12 and Big Ten institutions, it's important for us to get to that part of the country and the Chicago area for our alumni we have there.”

Our #CFBrank experts picked the nation's top 50 players, and there's plenty to debate regarding running backs on the list. How would you rank them?

The late Ara Parseghian coached Northwestern to a 35-6 victory over Notre Dame before a record 55,752 fans at Dyche Stadium in Evanston, 11/5/62, that elevated the Wildcats to the # 1 ranking in the country. They finished the season 7-2, their best record since 8-2 in 1948 and until 10-2 in '95.
Justin Jackson makes #CFBRank at No. 44 this season. The workhorse back is as reliable a college ball carrier as you can find in the nation.
Hall of Fame coach Ara Parseghian returned home Wednesday after being treated with intravenous antibiotics at a South Bend facility for an infection in his surgically repaired hip. He is still receiving 24-hour care.
Look for Buckeyes to bounce back
While Ohio State reached last season's playoff semifinals, it's easy to forget that the Bucks' most recent Big Ten championship was won in the national title season of 2014. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook sees that changing this season.

Northwestern's Justin Jackson on the possibility of finishing his career second on the Big Ten's all-time rushing list behind Wisconsin's Ron Dayne, the 1999 Heisman Trophy winner. He enters his senior year with 4,129 yards.
Ohio State and Penn State both bring back loaded rosters. But Wisconsin and Michigan have high hopes, too. Who'll ultimately rule the Big Ten?
Ohio State is the big favorite to win the Big Ten (pause for Penn State fans to smack their heads) and that's just one of many topics to be covered.
Ara Parseghian, who led Notre Dame to national titles in 1966 and 1973, is receiving treatment for a hip infection at a care facility in South Bend, Indiana.
The Wildcats return seven defensive backs who started last season, and they get Keith Watkins II back, so they should be near the top.
You know all about Justin Jackson, but the Wildcats' backfield talent doesn't end there. John Moten IV wasn't too shabby as a true freshman. Who else could contribute?
After a (sort of) down year, the SEC is loaded again in 2017. But the ACC and Big Ten are right there. So which league enters 2017 as the deepest in the country?
