Broyles' numbers will be tough to match
Frank Broyles won almost 70 percent of his games as Razorbacks coach during a span of 19 seasons that ended in 1976. His 10 bowl games included a win over Nebraska in the Cotton Bowl that led to his 1964 team being selected national champion by the FWAA.
Broyles helped elevate Arkansas to the SEC and developed a campus filled with state-of-the-art facilities in a career that went from boy wonder to white-haired lion.
Frank Broyles, who guided Arkansas to its lone national football championship in 1964 and later molded the overall program as athletic director, has died at the age of 92.
