LSU coach Ed Orgeron came away from the Tigers' spring game disappointed in the offense's performance after it held the upper hand for most of the spring. "I think the defense was tired of getting their butts kicked all spring," he said. Most disappointing was the play at quarterback, where starter Danny Etling and backups Justin McMillan and Lindsey Scott underwhelmed. Orgeron said he will leave the starting QB job open this summer because clearly no one has locked down the job. For what it's worth, the Gold team beat the Purple 26-7.

Adams graduates from 'DB University' (2:04)

ESPN Stats and Information

LSU's "DB U" moniker is well earned, as no school has produced more -- or higher quality -- defensive backs over the last 12 years. At least one Tigers DB (Jamal Adams) and perhaps two (Tre'Davious White) will go in Round 1 of next week's draft.

Paul Kuharsky ESPN Staff Writer

Just spoke to LSU safety Jamal Adams, who's at ESPN today. Said he visited with Titans at the combine and is sure DB coach Deshea Townsend was at his pro day. But he has not visited the team in Nashville and does not have a trip planned. Is he the best safety in the draft?"I definitely feel like it, he said. "What do you think?"
