Selvig wins award for 15th time

OGDEN, Utah -- Montana head coach Robin Selvig was named the
2005 Big Sky Conference women's basketball coach of the year on
Wednesday for leading the team to the second straight conference
title and a berth in the NCAA championship tournament.

This is the 15th time Selvig has won the honor. He shared it
last year with Idaho State's Jon Newlee.

Selvig has posted a 22-7 record so far this season. The Lady
Griz's victory over Weber State in the title game marked the 16th
conference championship overall.

Selvig has had 21 seasons with 20 or more victories, has seven
undefeated Big Sky seasons and an overall record of 623-179. He has
more victories than any other basketball coach in the Big Sky
Conference -- men's or women's.

He also ranks fifth among Division I coaches in winning
percentage at 77.7 percent and ranks 10th in career victories.
