Roberts led Chico State to Division II Final Four

STOCKTON, Calif. -- Pacific hired Chico State coach Lynne Roberts on Tuesday to be its women's basketball coach.

Roberts led the Division II Wildcats to the Final Four this season with a 28-4 record. She was 86-31 in her four seasons at Chico State, winning the California Collegiate Athletic Association Coach of the Year honors the past two seasons.

"Lynne Roberts is an outstanding coach who brings a wealth of successful experience to Pacific," athletic director Lynn King said. "She is a proven program builder who coaches an exciting, up tempo brand of basketball. We are very pleased to have her join our staff."

Roberts played in college at Seattle Pacific and spent five seasons there as an assistant coach.

The Tigers went 6-22 last season.
