Sooners' top reserve injures knee during practice

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Oklahoma reserve Nyeshia Stevenson
will miss the Sooners' game Thursday night at Texas A&M (No. 16 ESPN/USA Today, No. 17 AP) with a right knee injury.

Oklahoma (No. 10 ESPN/USA Today, No. 11 AP) announced that Stevenson was injured during practice Wednesday when another player stepped on her leg during a
rebounding drill.

X-rays were unable to confirm that she partially tore her
anterior cruciate ligament, and an MRI exam was planned for Friday to
further examine the knee.

Stevenson is the highest-scoring bench player and also the top
three-point shooter for the Sooners. She averages 7.3
points and shoots 34 percent from three-point range.
