Brandon Jennings has given the Knicks a lift off the bench. The point guard has four of the Knicks' seven assists in just 10 minutes. New York is back to within five of the Pacers halfway through the second quarter

It's easy to see why the Knicks are 3-13 over their last 16 games. They turned the ball over seven times and shot just 38.9 percent in the first quarter. And that's why they're down 34-22 to the Pacers at the end of the first quarter.

On his Facebook page, Jeremy Lin said his re-aggravated hamstring injury "is the least severe of the three (but) this third injury has been a hard one to deal with mentally." "There's something so draining about the yo-yo effect of going from injured to healthy to injured to healthy that in some ways it would have been easier to have an injury where I knew from the beginning I would be out for a long, set amount of time," Lin wrote. "... People may ask if I rushed back. I can confidently say I didn't. I checked every single check box that needed to be checked before returning and progressed carefully through my rehabs. The reality is that even when we plan for things to go a certain way, sometimes God has other plans."

Jets coach Todd Bowles is expected to be in Mobile, Alabama this week for the Senior Bowl, per source. There had been some question because of his recent health issues. He was hospitalized Dec. 23 with kidney and gallstones, nearly causing him to miss a game. He has received medical attention since the end of the season. Bowles will be a busy man in Mobile, as he still has five vacancies on his staff.

The NBA's Last Two Minute Report states that Eric Bledsoe did not foul Derrick Rose on late drive. Jeff Hornacek said there was body contact but the L2M states that the Suns point guard "maintains legal guarding position and makes incidental contact with Rose (NYK) that does not affect his drive to the basket and shot attempt."
