Neil Walker has a herniated disk that is causing limited weakness in a foot -- similar to in 2012 with the Pirates. The initial medical opinion suggested he can play through the issue, but a second opinion is being sought to ease Walker's mind. Sandy Alderson said any report of Walker's issue being career-threatening would be inaccurate, and the Mets believe he could be back in the lineup shortly.
