Jacoby Ellsbury: "I worked hard this off-season and I'm excited to be here in camp. You just prepare to be the best possible player you can. I have a lot of baseball left. All you can do is control your work ethic. Every year you come in and compete. I love playing here. I can only control what I can control."

Jacoby Ellsbury, who looks like the odd man out for now in the Yankees outfield/DH rotation, said all the right things as he reported to camp. "You just prepare to be the best player you can be." ... "I don't see the Opening Day lineup up there yet." ... "I love playing here, let's leave it at that." Ellsbury is signed for three more years and owed more than $65 million. He's coming off a 1.7-WAR season.
