The Clippers have some big decisions to make this summer (Chris Paul's and Blake Griffin's free agency), but the talk in New York will turn to potential Carmelo Anthony-to-LAC trades in the wake of the Clippers' first-round exit. Many things can happen in the coming weeks, but it's worth noting that some members of the Clippers organization felt back in February that they could land Anthony in a trade this offseason, per league sources familiar with the matter.

The Nationals' Anthony Rendon became just the second player in MLB history to have six hits, three home runs and 10 RBIs in a game, doing so Sunday against the Mets.

Led by a historic outburst from Anthony Rendon, the Washington Nationals have capped a monster offensive month with the biggest outburst in franchise history -- 23 runs against the New York Mets. Among the Nats' 23 hits were seven homers, including three from Rendon, who had never before posted a multi-homer game. Rendon went 6 for 6, drove in 10 runs, scored five and finished with 16 total bases. According to baseball-reference.com, no one had hit those benchmarks in the same game. According to ESPN Stats & Info, Rendon is the second player in major-league history with six hits, three home runs and 10 RBI in a game. The other was Walker Cooper, who did it for the Reds in 1949. Meanwhile, Washington has scored 14 or more runs five times already this season. There have been only seven other such games in all of baseball, and no other team has done it more than once. Wow.

What a day for Anthony Rendon! He becomes the first player since Garret Anderson in 2007 to drive in 10 runs in a game, slamming his third home run -- off Mets backup catcher Kevin Plawecki -- to cap a 6-for-6 day that included five runs scored and a double. The Nats slammed three homers off Plawecki in his second inning of work.

Noah Syndergaard, who was scratched a few days ago with a dead arm and sore biceps, has left his start today in the second inning after wincing in pain after two pitches to Bryce Harper, grabbing under his arm after the second pitch. He left trailing 5-2 and you have to wonder why the heck he was out there in the first place.
