Rookie Miguel Andujar homered and doubled to extend his barrage of extra-base hits, Didi Gregorius had a grand slam and the New York Yankees hammered the Minnesota Twins 14-1 Monday night for their first three-game winning streak under new manager...
The Bronx Bombers lived up to their nickname Monday night, as every player in the starting lineup reached base. Only Brett Gardner (two walks) failed to get a hit. Aaron Judge launched a deep double. Giancarlo Stanton went 4-for-4 (his first four-hit game as a Yankee) with a long homer. Didi Gregorius hit a grand slam. Tyler Austin homered. So did Miguel Andújar. And 21-year-old 2B Gleyber Torres, playing in just his second major-league game, got his first career hit. That leadoff single kicked off a six-run eighth that helped the Yankees cruise to a 14-1 win over the Twins.

Jets GM Mike Maccagnan was more tight lipped than usual today in his pre-draft session with reporters. He wouldn't confirm the obvious (they will draft a quarterback) and he wouldn't give any details on how they evaluate the quarterbacks. He wouldn't even comment on the importance of hand size when evaluating quarterbacks, saying it could tip their ... well, hand. Chances are, it'll be a Baker Mayfield-Josh Rosen decision. Some key people in the organization prefer Mayfield, but Rosen has some support as well.

Clint Frazier finally feels like he's "through it" in terms of the concussion, Aaron Boone says. The Yankees OF played today in an extended spring training game. He played five innings, had a hit and a stolen base and although he played in the outfield, he got no action there. He'll play another extended spring game tomorrow, and will be with Single-A Tampa in a game Thursday.

Yankees 3B Brandon Drury (blurred vision) saw his specialist this morning, and they had a few firmer answers for him. Doctors believe the vision problem was the result of a tendon in his neck that's been blocked. They'll treat it using stimuli and some acupuncture-like treatments. Drury will be playing in a rehab game Wednesday in Scranton. As for getting Drury back as Miguel Andújar remains hot at third, Aaron Boone said, "I like having the problem" of figuring out how to get both playing time.

If 23-year-old Miguel Andújar has an extra-base hit in his next game, he'll be entering some rarified Yankees air. He's had an extra-base hit now in six straight games. According to Elias, the only Yankees with longer such streaks before their 24th birthdays were Mickey Mantle (seven games in May 1955) and Joe DiMaggio (seven in June 1937). Andújar will turn 24 next March.

Teams at the top of the draft have several possibilities for landing a quarterback. For those seeking an elite pass-rusher, there's only one option.
