Brooklyn Nets power forward Gerald Wallace missed Monday night's 104-73 loss to the San Antonio Spurs due to a bruised left knee, the team announced. Reggie Evans started in Wallace's place and had four points and nine rebounds in 21 minutes.
Wallace, 30, is averaging 10.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.6 steals in 23 games for the Nets (16-15).
He missed seven games earlier in the season due to a sprained left ankle.
Kris Humphries, who has missed the last five games with a mild abdominal strain, is active, according to the YES Network. Humphries had fallen out of the rotation under coach Avery Johnson, but Johnson was fired Thursday and replaced by P.J. Carlesimo on an interim basis.
Humphries, 27, is averaging 7.1 points and 7.4 rebounds in 25 games (20 starts).
