Brodney Pool sustains head injury

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Jets safety Brodney Pool suffered a head injury in the third quarter against the New York Giants.

Pool said he experienced migraine symptoms during the game that worsened after a hard hit in the third quarter when Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw slammed into him. After the game, he said he was fine.

Pool was hurt attempting to make a tackle on Bradshaw on a 14-yard touchdown run. Bradshaw plowed over Pool around the 5-yard line and the defender took a while to get up.

The Jets also saw linebacker Garrett McIntyre hurt his knee covering the opening kickoff. The extent of his injury was not known.

The Jets lost 29-14.
