Giants to visit White House June 8

EAST RUTHERFORD -- Another administration and another trip to Washington, D.C., for the New York Giants.

Coach Tom Coughlin said Wednesday the Super Bowl champions will visit President Barack Obama and the White House on June 8.

The Giants last visited the president on April 30, 2008, when George W. Bush welcomed them after they won Super Bowl XLII.

Defensive end Osi Umenyiora was one of several Giants to miss the trip in 2008 for unspecified reasons, the others being former Giants Jeremy Shockey, Michael Strahan and Antonio Pierce.
