Rangers lose preseason finale

ZUG, Switzerland -- Artem Anisimov had a goal and an assist, but the New York Rangers finished their preseason with an 8-4 loss to Swiss team EV Zug on Monday.

A busy schedule of four games in five days on their European tour seemed to catch up with the Rangers, who quickly fell behind 2-0.

Ryan Callahan, Mike Rupp and Ruslan Fedotenko also scored for New York.

Former Los Angeles Kings forward Esa Pirnes had two goals for Zug.

The Rangers begin their regular season with games in Stockholm against the Kings on Friday and Anaheim Ducks on Saturday.
