Andre Deveaux suspended 3 games

The NHL has suspended New York Rangers forward Andre Deveaux for three games.

Deveaux was assessed a match penalty for attempt to injure Wednesday night in a game against Florida for an elbow to the head of Panthers winger Tomas Fleischmann.

Deveaux also received a five-minute major for an intentional hit to the head.

The Rangers recalled Carl Hagelin and John Mitchell from the AHL's Connecticut Whale ahead of Friday's game.

Fleischmann returned to Wednesday's game and skated at practice Friday morning ahead of the Panthers' game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.

"He had another good skate today, so he's had two pretty good days. So I think he's positive for tonight," Panthers coach Kevin Dineen said, according to the report.
