Devils sign forward Reid Boucher

NEWARK, N.J. -- The New Jersey Devils announced Wednesday they have signed forward Reid Boucher to an entry-level deal.

New Jersey selected Boucher in the fourth round of the 2011 NHL draft.

Boucher, 19, has played with Sarnia of the Ontario Hockey League the past two years, tallying 144 points (90 goals, 54 assists).

The 19-year-old Lansing, Mich., native has scored 62 goals for Sarnia this season, breaking the club record of 58 by Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos, who leads the NHL in goals. Boucher also leads the OHL in power-play goals (21) and is fifth with 94 points.

Boucher will remain with Sarnia, which has three games left in the regular season before heading to the postseason.

He also played one game for Albany (AHL) in the 2011-12 season, and took part in two seasons with the United States Development Program.
