Jenrry Mejia remains a member of the Mets organization -- although he is suspended at least through the 2017 season, and potentially beyond if he is not reinstated from his lifetime PED ban. That does not preclude the Mets from releasing him at a later date. But Mejia is costing the Mets nothing right now, and they have not relinquished control. Mejia has resumed pitching in the Dominican Winter League, which is not covered by the MLB ban.

Jets defensive snap analysis (based on 58): DL -- L.Williams 57, Richardson 49, McLendon 25, Simon 2; LB -- Harris 58, Mauldin 49, Stanford 37, Catapano 26, Carter 21, J. Jenkins 18, Martin 5, Ochi 7; DB -- Skrine 58, Revis 58, Gilchrist 58, Pryor 54, M. Williams 40, Miles 4. Without Mo Wilkerson (inactive), they played more 3-4 than usual. That meant more playing time for Mauldin, less for McLendon. J. Jenkins also had a reduced role. Catapano was used in a sub package. Ochi made his NFL debut.

Jets offensive snap analysis (based on 68): QB -- Fitzpatrick 44, Smith 24; RB -- Forte 57, Powell 9, Pope 2; WR -- B. Marshall 65, Anderson 50, Enunwa 44, Peake 17, J. Marshall 4; TE -- Davis 51, Bostick 33, Dozier 8, Shell 1. Welcome back, Ground & Pound. OC Chan Gailey used the tight ends more than any game, mostly to block. He also used "jumbo" packages with extra OLM, Dozier and Shell. Powell's snap count was a season low. Peake leap-frogged J. Marshall as the No. 4 WR.
