Here are a couple of interesting homer stats courtesy of ESPN Stats & Information: Curtis Granderson now has 30 homers and 56 RBIs this season. The MLB "record" for fewest RBIs by a player with at least 30 homers is 64 by Félix Mantilla of the 1964 Red Sox and Rob Deer of the 1992 Tigers. Meanwhile, the Mets have multiple 30-homer hitters (Yoenis Céspedes and Granderson) for the first time since 2008 (Carlos Delgado and David Wright). Add in Jay Bruce's total with the Reds and he has 30 homers, too.

Jamison Crowder comes in clearly fired up about Duke's victory yesterday. Can't underestimate the impact of these things.

LB Mike Catapano, an ex-Chief, is a healthy scratch for the Jets. Rookie LB Jordan Jenkins, a third-round pick, is active for the first time. He bumps Catapano. Other inactives: LB Erin Henderson, QB Bryce Petty, QB Christian Hackenberg, T Brandon Shell, CB Darryl Roberts and RB Troymaine Pope. The Jets are going with only two running backs.

Curtis Granderson's 30th HR of the season gave the Mets multiple 30-homer hitters for the first time since 2009 (Carlos Delgado and David Wright). Granderson's is highly likely to break the "record" for fewest RBIs by a 30-homer hitter. He has 56. The fewest is 64 by Félix Mantilla of the 1964 Red Sox and 1992 Tigers.

Jets WR Brandon Marshall is officially active. LB Erin Henderson (foot) is inactive.

The dry spell is finally over; Didi Gregorius' solo HR leading off the seventh inning snapped the Yankees 33-inning scoreless streak and tied their game against the Blue Hays at 1. The last time the Yankees had scored was the 9th inning of Wednesday's game in Tampa

What do players do when they're warming up? They do what we all do a lot -- check the phone, as Jets CB Marcus Williams is doing.

Josh Norman lined up across from Giants WR Odell Beckham on 30 of the Giants' 34 plays through halftime. Beckham has 2 receptions for 44 yards on 4 targets on those plays

Lots of points at MetLife Stadium. Norman/Beckham have behaved. Not huge factors. Half ends on boneheaded Kirk Cousins play, allows Giants to keep 21-16 at halftime.

Jets WR Eric Decker missed some practice time with a shoulder injury, but he's ready to go. He has scored a touchdown in six straight games.

Jets WR Brandon Marshall, warming up at Arrowhead Stadium, will be active for the game. How much he plays is uncertain.

That should have been a foul against Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. Fortunately for the Redskins, officials did not disallow that TD by DeSean Jackson.

Seeing the shocked, grief-stricken Don Mattingly and the Marlins in team jerseys at a televised Miami news conference a few hours after the awful news of Jose Fernandez's death in a boating accident evoked emotional on-camera interviews long ago with three formidable, longtime baseball men. Mike Hargrove, Lou Piniella and Jim Fregosi all broke down in tears when we discussed the unfathomable losses they and their teams experienced many years before of players they'd been with shortly before their passing. Hargrove spoke a decade after a Florida boating tragedy took the lives of Cleveland pitchers Tim Crews and Steve Olin in 1993 when he was the manager of the Indians. In 2004, Piniella recounted friend and teammate Thurman Munson's death a quarter-century earlier when the plane the Yankee captain piloted crashed near his home in Ohio. And in 2008, Fregosi shared his sorrowful recollections of managing California 30 years before, when Angels outfielder Lyman Bostock was shot to death in the back seat of a car after visiting a childhood friend in Indiana. There is plenty of crying in baseball today and there always will be among all who endure loss and cherish lives that will forever be with them.

Sterling Shepard is the first wide receiver to manage double-digit fantasy points in his first three career games since Martavis Bryant (2014, Weeks 7-9), and he's only the seventh wide receiver to do it since 1950. The other six: Bryant, Percy Harvin, Billy Howton, Glen Kozlowski, Louis Lipps, Bobby Mitchell and Donte' Stallworth.

Giants rookie CB Eli Apple out with a hamstring injury. Expect more DRC.

Olivier Vernon ruined that drive. Forced hold. It's the 3rd hold he's forced this season. Almost as good as sacks.

Press box view at Arrowhead Stadium, where the Jets face the Chiefs at 4:25 ET. It's an overcast day, kind of damp, but the rain has stopped. No rain for the rest of the day, per the local forecast.

On first play of second quarter, Odell Beckham Jr. turned 2 Redskins DBs around, including Josh Norman. His first catch in 3 targets goes for 26 yards.

Jordan Raanan ESPN Staff Writer

Redskins CB Bashaud Breeland is out with an ankle injury. Going to make it very difficult to contain Victor Cruz/Sterling Shepard if Josh Norman sticks with Odell Beckham.

Mike Sando ESPN Senior Writer

One knock on the Redskins under Jay Gruden is that they are pass-happy by nature. Sticking with the run while down 14-3 is that much tougher.

Matt Bowen ESPN Staff Writer

Giants rookie WR Sterling Shepard is going to create matchup issues for opposing defenses all season long when he aligns in the slot. Too quick off the jump. Smooth route runner. Giants go up 14-3 on the Redskins in the first quarter after Eli Manning hit Shepard on the seam route for a TD.
