Jeff Hornacek on getting Frank Ntilikina time at point guard: "We want him to get those reps. We don't want to put him in a situation where maybe it's a struggle. If some guy's going to pick him up full court we have other guys on the court who should be able to handle the ball." Ntilikina, Emmanuel Mudiay and Trey Burke will all see increased minutes in the backcourt.

Jeff Hornacek on the Knicks' approach over the final 23 games: "Just giving the young guys more chances.... We'll throw them out there. They'll take some lumps probably at times but they've got to get through that. They've got to battle through and learn." You can expect Frank Ntilikina, Trey Burke, Emmanuel Mudiay, Damyean Dotson, Luke Kornet and Isaiah Hicks to get more playing time going forward.

Hornacek: Knicks have moved on from Noah

Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek isn't sure if Joakim Noah will return before the end of the season, noting that the decision would come from team president Steve Mills and general manager Scott Perry.

Jeff Hornacek answers questions about the Joakim Noah situation: "I think he's ready to move on and maybe have an opportunity somewhere else."

Jeff Hornacek on Joakim Noah: "We've moved on. I think maybe he's ready to move on and maybe have an opportunity somewhere else." Hornacek said the plan was for Noah not to return at the moment. He wasn't sure if Noah will continue to be away for the remainder of the season, saying that decision is up to management. Noah and the Knicks have mutual agreed that Noah be away from the team following an argument with Hornacek in which, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, player and coach had to be separated.

For what it's worth: Emmanuel Mudiay was playing point guard with the first unit during scrimmages at Knicks practice tonight. Jarrett Jack has started at PG for New York for most of the season.

Yankees make it official: they've acquired infielder/outfielder Brandon Drury from the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Tristan H. Cockcroft ESPN Senior Writer

Good move by the Diamondbacks to deal Brandon Drury now, because he was one of their players I'd have most expected to suffer statistically as a result of the humidor. In New York, he'll play regularly while getting at least as much HR/FB% help, so his results should be similar.

Michael Beasley (right ear irritation) didn't practice tonight, per the Knicks.
