On being able to fit with Jeremy Lin, D'Angelo Russell said, "He's established in this league and I am working to get there. I know I will learn from him and vice-versa, whatever I can teach him would be great too. I just want to compete, it starts with practice, us pushing each other will lead to the games and make it easier."

Power Rankings: Yankees out of top five?

The Yankees are just 2-10 since June 13, and even Aaron Judge can't stop the slump. After starting the season 12-0 when Judge homered, the Yanks are 4-7 in the past 11 games in which he has gone yard.

Not a huge surprise here, but big man Marshall Plumlee will play for the Knicks in Summer League, per sources. Plumlee was signed as an undrafted free agent last season and many in the organization are high on him due in part to his potential, his energy and his professional approach. So it's not surprising that the club would like to continue to develop him. If Plumlee is under contract o. June 30, as expected, $100,000 of his deal for next season kicks in. His full contract becomes guaranteed if he's on the roster in late October.
