Sabathia continues Red Sox domination

With Saturday's win, CC Sabathia is now 3-0 with a 0.90 ERA in three starts against Boston this season. Since earned runs became official in the AL in 1913, four other Yankees pitchers have won their first three starts against the Red Sox in a season with a sub-1.00 ERA: Lefty Gomez in 1934 (0.33), Hank Borowy in 1945 (0.35), Whitey Ford in 1956 (0.67) and Scott Sanderson in 1991 (0.43), the Elias Sports Bureau notes.

Saturday's longest home runs

Rougned Odor teed off twice against the White Sox, with his second blast reaching the upper deck in right field at Globe Life Park. A pair of rookies flexed their muscles in Saturday's Red Sox-Yankees tilt while Mike Trout's multihomer game in Baltimore gave him six seasons with at least 25 home runs, tying Tim Salmon's Angels record.
