Another aspect for CC Sabathia to celebrate: He didn't hurt his shoulder this season, which means his $25 million vests for 2017.

CC Sabathia ends a very good comeback season. A year ago at this time, Sabthia was entering alcohol rehab and his spot in the rotation was in doubt. After barely beating out Ivan Nova for the fifth starter spot in spring training, Sabathia will finish the year with a 3.91 ERA after his 7 1/3 innings, one run, four-hit, eight strikeout and two-walk performance.

Yankee Stadium has become Fenway South. Xander Bogaerts just tied the game in the fourth inning with a home run and the crowd erupted. It is 1-1.

David Ortiz got mostly a standing O in his first at-bat, then a K. CC Sabathia just struck him out after a lot of fans -- many with Red Sox jerseys on -- cheered him at Yankee Stadium.

Today's Jets-Seahawks injury report: CB Darrelle Revis (ankle) was back to full practice. DE Mo Wilkerson (ankle) was downgraded to limited, but it's not a concern for the team.
