Interesting post-game reaction from coach Todd Bowles, who spoke of a bright future for the team. It's out of character for him to discuss the big picture. It almost sounded like Bowles, whose job could be in jeopardy, was making an appeal to ownership. "Obviously, this is going to turn," he said. "I believe that we have a good core group." He added, "I️ don't worry about how many we lost in a row. I know how we lost and I know why we lost. We're fighting. As long as we've got fight and we correct the small things, we'll be fine."

Pretty interesting admission from Eli Manning that Bobby Hart's false start on fourth down with 48 seconds remaining was a result of the Eagles fans in the crowd. "You don't think having that [at home], but I guess when you've only won two games there's a lot of Eagles fans and they were loud and we couldn't hear the cadence. That's why we jumped offsides."

LB Darron Lee was Mr. Positivity after the Jets' seventh loss in nine games. "The future for this team? I mean, dominance," he said. "If you can't see that now, you better heed warning now. I feel like this whole season will be a warning shot, just of what's coming. Because once everybody [on the Jets] all figures it out, it's over.

Jets QB Bryce Petty struggled against the Saints' standard rush. He was 7-for-21 for 62 yards and two interceptions against four or fewer pass rushers, per ESPN Stats & Information — the third-worst completion percentage on such throws this season. He had four batted passes by Cameron Jordan, tied for the most by any player in the last 10 seasons.

Todd Bowles: We'll keep fighting

New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles discussed Bryce Petty's performance at quarterback as well as his team's effort against the New Orleans Saints.

Rich Cimini ESPN Staff Writer

Todd Bowles' assessment of QB Bryce Petty was rather blunt. Referring to Petty's performance in the red zone, the Jets' coach said, "He just didn't make any plays. Plays that we needed to make to win the game, he didn't make. He'll get better at that."

Jets coach Todd Bowles declined to say whether benched DE Mo Wilkerson will rejoin the team next week. He called it an "internal matter." Wilkerson was benched for showing up late to a meeting last Friday, the second time in two weeks he was disciplined for tardiness.
