Jets coach Todd Bowles raised eyebrows today with his relaxed comments about player punctuality. It was an issue last season because defensive linemen Sheldon Richardson and Muhammad Wilkerson were benched for a quarter because they were late and/or missed meetings. "It's part of it," Bowles said. "Sometimes you're late to work. It's life. It's not life threatening. Sometimes your alarm clock isn't going to go off."

The Jets have signed former Colts C/G Jonotthan Harrison, the team announced. He was a non-tendered RFA who started 23 games in three seasons for the Colts. Harrison (6-foot-4, 300) started four games at guard last year, but his natural position is center. His career breakdown in snaps: 1,323 at center, 392 at guard, per ESPN Stats. He was undrafted out of Florida in 2014.
