Wayne Gallman had more total yardage (1,740 to 1,285) as a sophomore than as a junior, but his touchdown total rose from 14 to 17 during Clemson's championship season.

The Giants take Clemson RB Wayne Gallman in the fourth round (pick 140 overall). Power back. Good complement to Paul Perkins. May eliminate the need for LaGarrette Blount.

The Giants pick soon and RB Wayne Gallman still on the board. So are guards Damian Mama and Isaac Asiata.

Ryan Zimmerman's RBI single gave the Nats a 1-0 lead over the Mets. It also gave him 25 RBI's, tied for most in the majors with teammates Bryce Harper and Daniel Murphy. Needless to say, Washington's offense is clicking.

The Giants would have picked here at 130, but this is the pick that got downgraded due to the Ben McAdoo walkie-talkie thing. They got busted down to No. 140.

Jets GM Mike Maccagnan must really like the quality in the fifth, sixth and seventh rounds. He traded down for the third time, sending their fourth rounder (125) to the Rams for a fourth rounder (141) and a sixth round pick (197). If you're keeping score at home, they have one pick in the fourth round, two in the fifth, three in the sixth and one in the seventh. This should help them rebuild the bottom of the roster, assuming he picks the right guys.

Some names to watch in the late rounds for the Giants: RBs Samaje Perine and Jamaal Williams, OT Julien Davenport, G Isaac Asiata and Damian Mama, K Zane Gonzalez.

Received this text from a scout after Davis Webb selection in third round (87th overall): "Good value, heard about him in the first ... Has the talent and work ethic."

There was no shortage of long balls on Friday. There were a season-high 48 home runs yesterday, including three moonshots over 450 feet.

This will be a busy day for the Jets, who have six choices -- one in the fourth round (125), two in the fifth (150, 160), two in the sixth (191, 204) and one in the seventh (224). This is one of the best cornerback drafts in history, and they have yet to address that need -- a head scratcher. Some of the top players available: Iowa CB Desmond King, Michigan TE Jake Butt, Pitt QB Nathan Peterman, Tennessee QB Joshua Dobbs and Oklahoma RB Samaje Perine.

The Giants saw value in quarterback Davis Webb in the third round and couldn't pass. He now is their quarterback of the future.

Jets GM Mike Maccagnan declined to comment on reports that he's shopping S Calvin Pryor and DE Sheldon Richardson. He said "a lot of things come up in conversations." Drafting two safeties, Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye, seemingly has made Pryor expendable. On Pryor, Maccagnan said, "I don't see any reason why we can't have Calvin on this team in terms of the salary cap." FS Marcus Gilchrist (knee) will begin training camp on PUP.

Love this quote from Jets WR ArDarius Stewart , a third-round pick from Alabama. Asked what he will bring to the Jets, he said, "I'm bringing a load of, you know, awesomeness. That's all I can tell you." He went on to say he's "very physical. I'm bringing a lot of physicality to the game. I'm bringing that defensive mentality to the offensive side of the ball." Stewart said he compares his style to Hines Ward.
