On Sunday, Jets DE Kony Ealy faces the team that drafted him and traded him — the Panthers — and he admitted "revenge" is on his mind. "I've got a lot of friends I played with and a lot of coaches," he said. "It's going to mean more to me playing in that game and just being fired up about going out there and just really doing what I need to do for my team. But also, getting a little revenge, I guess you could say." At least he's honest. (Source: NFL Network's "Good Morning Football.")

Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr, who is close with Phil Jackson, was asked about Jackson's tenure in New York. "I felt bad for the way things ended," Kerr said at Warriors practice at St. John's University today. "I think Phil did some good things here. Drafting Porzingis and hiring Jeff Hornacek. I think Ntilikina looks like a good player. It feels like they're on a good path right now. It's a hard league, man. Things really have to fall (in your favor), you have to do a good job. But you also have to get some luck. Phil knows that better than anybody. You can be really lucky and inherit Michael Jordan and you can also be unlucky and things don't go your way. It's all part of it. We're all going to have our moments in this league - ups and downs. Phil had so much success as a coach. I don't know, maybe he was due for the down part of it."

Time for Jets to focus on draft

After a surprising 3-2 start, the Jets have dropped four of their last five and FPI projects them to have less than a 1 percent chance of making the playoffs. But landing a top-10 pick is considerably more likely to happen for New York.

Time for G-Men to focus on the draft

They've been able to pull out a couple of wins, but the Giants did themselves no favor by getting off to an 0-5 start this season. ESPN's FPI gives them pretty high odds to land a top-five pick in this year's draft.

Redskins coach Jay Gruden didn't hesitate when asked about the biggest difference in this year's Giants. "Odell Beckham. Without Odell Beckham it's a huge difference. He's the best receiver in the league."
