Eastern Washington's Jacob Wiley has agreed to a 2-way contract with the Brooklyn Nets, league sources confirm. Wiley played wellon the workout circuit before the draft, impressing teams with his intensity and relentless motor. The 6-7 wing is incredibly athletic and has shown the ability to defend multiple positions during his workouts. He was considered one of the hidden gems in this year's class. Could turn out to be a very wise investment by Sean Marks & Co. Wiley's signing was first reported by CBS Sports.

NBA draft grades: Knicks earn solid marks

The Knicks have had a disastrous week from a PR perspective, but their performance on draft night deserves praise. If Frank Ntilikina becomes a more consistent shooter, he'll be a steal at No. 8.

The New Jersey Devils own the first overall pick. The Devils franchise hasn't picked first since 1979, when they were the Colorado Rockies and took Rob Ramage at No. 1 overall. The last two times that the Devils picked a player in the top three, they selected a Hall of Famer.

NBA draft grades: Nets earn average marks

Jarrett Allen (No. 22) is the heir apparent to Brook Lopez, but they couldn't be more different. Luckily, Brooklyn has plenty of time to see if he pans out as it builds around D'Angelo Russell.

Former Jets WR Jeremy Kerley, whose playing time mysteriously vanished in 2015, blamed a bad relationship with then-OC Chan Gailey. "Chan was just one of those type of guys that has his mind set up before he sees whoever's there," Kerley told Alex Marvez and Phil Savage on SiriusXM NFL Radio. "2015 was by far my worst year in the league. I absolutely hated the NFL. I wasn't getting any playing time at receiver. I was just strictly punt return. Me and Chan Gailey were always … We didn't see eye-to-eye. I didn't have a lot of respect for him. It was probably the same for him."

Wisconsin's Nigel Hayes will play with the Knicks in summer league, sources confirmed to ESPN. Hayes, 6-8 with a 7-3 wingspan, went undrafted but some college observers see him as having the potential to be a versatile defender at the next level with a strong outside shot – something the Knicks certainly could use. Hayes, who worked out for the Knicks prior to the draft, averaged 14 points, 6 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game last year. Hayes' agreement with the Knicks was first reported by Darren Wolfson.
