The flip card for tonight's Jets-Giants game: There won't be nearly as many names on next week's card, as teams are required to cut rosters from 90 to 75 by Monday.

OL Justin Pugh was out early putting in some work. Wouldn't expect him to play though. Giants have been cautious with his shoulder injury.

May be a bit more green than usual at MetLife Stadium today but Odell Beckham Jr. just stopped and fist bumped the attendant in the middle of the parking lot. The Giants and Jets kick off in a little less than three hours. It's a Jets home game.

Mets rightfielder Jay Bruce went 0-for-4 with four strikeouts on Friday night, so on Saturday he was out of the starting lineup. Bruce is hitting .160 with two home runs in 81 at-bats since his acquisition from the Reds. "He's gotten off to a slow start," said Mets manager Terry Collins. "He knows it, we know it. It's all about battling through it. I told him to relax a little bit, get something good to hit and put a good swing on it."

Mets manager Terry Collins said the team had no sense of when Justin Ruggiano would be able to return from his left shoulder injury, so on Saturday they had infielder T.J. Rivera take fly balls in the outfield to prepare for a potential role there. Collins said the Mets don't expect to see a left-handed starter for another week, which would give Rivera some time to prepare. Rivera has played eight career minor league games in the outfield, all in left field.

From Danny Knobler at Yankee Stadium: For the second straight day at Yankee Stadium and the 29th time this season, an Orioles starting pitcher failed to finish the fifth inning. Dylan Bundy allowed five runs in four innings Saturday, raising the Orioles' rotation ERA for the season to 5.01. No team since the 2001 Cleveland Indians (with rookie CC Sabathia and 28-year-old Bartolo Colon) has made the playoffs with a rotation ERA over 5.00.

Update from Danny Knobler as Gary Sanchez goes yard again: Now Gary Sanchez doesn't need to share his history with anyone else. The Yankees catcher homered again Saturday, and became the first major-league player ever with 11 home runs in the first 23 games of his career. Trevor Story (earlier this season) and George Scott (in 1966) each had 10. Sanchez's latest home run came in the fourth inning, on a 94 mph fastball from Orioles starter Dylan Bundy. It was the first of his 11 homers to come on a fastball harder than 91 mph, and it brought on the first curtain call of his Yankee career. The Yankee Stadium fans, who chanted his full name after his home run Friday night, called out just his first name Saturday, eventually bringing him to the top step of the dugout. Sanchez also threw out another runner trying to steal, his sixth in nine attempts.

From Danny Knobler on-site at Yankee Stadium: The Yankees are pushing left-hander CC Sabathia up to pitch Sunday against the Orioles, and shifting right-hander Michael Pineda back to Monday's game in Kansas City. The Orioles have hit 41 points better against right-handers than lefties (.271-.230), while the Royals have hit 18 points better against lefties (.276-.258).

Teixeira still has the power stroke

Mark Teixeira flashed some power in the first inning against the Orioles blasting his 11th home run 430 feet into the the bleachers at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees went on to a 14-4 win.
