The Astros struck out less than any team in baseball this season, but CC Sabathia has fanned four of the first seven batters through two innings. Alex Bregman, Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa down swinging, Marwin Gonzalez looking.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi was booed prior to Game 3 of the ALDS after his poor management of Game 2 in Cleveland. Now, after the Yankees' stormed back in the ALDS, Girardi received cheers as he was introduced before Game 3 of the ALCS with his team once again down 2-0 in a series.

One day after he interviewed with Red Sox and one day before he meets Mets, praise keeps rolling in for Astros bench coach Alex Cora. "The guy is always bringing something to the table for the younger guys, which is great," Astros DH Carlos Beltran said. "He has good communication with the guys. He's always in the clubhouse getting to know the players, getting to know which buttons he could push on each player to make them go out there and play the game hard."

Josh McCown lamented the Jets' final play of the game, fourth-and-16 from the New England 49. He threw deep for Jeremy Kerley, not seeing Travaris Cadet WIDE open at the 30. "You're right, he was there," McCown said. "I pulled my eyes up and was looking downfield more, and I'm with you, I wish I could have thrown him the ball, but that's part of the game." They would've been able to spike the ball, then take a shot at the end zone for a potential game-tying TD.

Before Game 2 of the ALCS in Houston, we got the rare opportunity to ride the iconic train that runs above left field at Minute Maid Park. Well, there's a pretty iconic train that runs beyond right field at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. It's called the 4.

Lineups for HOU at NYY

The Astros start Evan Gattis at catcher and Cameron Maybin in left field, with Marwin Gonzalez moving to first base and Yuli Gurriel to DH. Alex Bregman and Josh Reddick flip-flop in the batting order from Game 2. The Yankees' lineup remains the same as on Saturday.

Explaining the decision to cut WR Jalin Marshall, Jets coach Todd Bowles said they needed a backup slot corner against the Patriots. That's why they signed CB Xavier Coleman from the practice squad. He backed up Buster Skrine. Darryl Roberts and Juston Burris are perimeter cornerbacks. So was Marcus Williams, who was cut last week. To make room for Coleman, they cut Marshall because he was an "extra receiver," per Bowles. He didn't rule out re-signing him at some point.

If there is an ALCS Game 6, Luis Severino will start for the Yankees, according to manager Joe Girardi. Girardi lifted Severino after 4 innings in Game 2, believing Severino might have a shoulder issue. Severino said he was fine. Doctors have agreed with the Severino's assessment.

Jets coach Todd Bowles was in no mood to rehash the controversial fumble. "I don't give two shakes about it," he said. He added, "That wasn't the reason we lost the game. We've moved on from that. It doesn't change. We're not gonna cry about it all week. We have to go play Miami."

Both Leonard Williams and Steve McLendon said they believe the Jets are good enough to contend for the playoffs. But McLendon added, "In order to have a playoff team, we have to beat Miami" this week.

Jets QB Josh McCown took the high road on the controversial fumble, saying it's time to move on even though he's still not sure why an apparent TD was over-turned: "The league is putting a lot of resources into trying to get those things right. Ultimately, when you bring in replay and send it to the league office and everybody is looking, you hope all those eyes on it make the best decision. ... Obviously, when it doesn't go your way, there's a human element that's very frustrated."

After coming back from a 2-0 deficit to win the Division Series, the Yankees now face another 2-0 hole in the ALCS. Only two teams in postseason history have come back from 2-0 multiple times -- and no team has done it before advancing to the World Series.
