Huge shot by Carmelo Anthony, who drills a baseline jumper over Robert Covington to give New York a one-point lead with 0.3 seconds left. Anthony has 37 points on 25 shots tonight against Philadelphia.

A Sixers team that's without Joel Embiid has overcome an 11-point deficit entering the fourth quarter to take a one-point lead with nine seconds left on the Knicks. If NY loses this game, it will have found a new low in a season full of them. The Knicks have final possession here.

The Knicks held an 11-point lead earlier in the fourth but it had been cut to three when Derrick Rose found an open lane and converted a layup to widen the cushion. He bailed on any triangle set that was planned and just attacked the rim.

"We want Baker" chants picking up here at Madison Square Garden. That's a reference to reserve guard Ron Baker.

The Knicks' infusion of triangle offense has worked well for one night. Granted, they're playing a Sixers team without Joel Embiid, but they've hit 51 percent of their shots and have 18 assists on 34 made baskets. New York is up by 13 early in the fourth quarter.

Things have gotten strange with Derrick Rose and his 'joke' about taking a trip to Chicago. Rose said twice to reporters on Friday that he had to take a flight to Chicago. A Knicks spokesman said Rose was joking. Rose on Saturday said he didn't want to talk about the issue saying only "I'm here bro" and that he "wasn't trolling." Bizarre. It seems like Rose intended to go to Chicago yesterday. We'll let you come up with your own theories as to why he didn't go. Rose, of course, was fined by the Knicks for leaving the team without explanation and going to Chicago in early January, missing a game against the Pelicans.

Derrick Rose on Anthony Morrow changing his number from 1 in Chicago because of fan's negative reaction to a player wearing Rose's old number: "For me, I feel two ways about it. I understand that it's just a number but I get how the fans feel too as far as just the memories that we had, me wearing that number."

Knicks starters tonight: Carmelo Anthony, Willy Hernangomez, Kyle O'Quinn, Derrick Rose, Courtney Lee.

Jeff Hornacek said the Knicks are running the triangle more now than they were earlier in the season. One reason? They think it helps defensive balance.

As expected, Kristaps Porzingis and Joakim Noah are out tonight against Philly. Porzingis may play on Monday against Toronto. Noah is unlikely to play Monday.

Derrick Rose's agent, B.J. Armstrong, said that he and Rose understand that the Knicks were operating in their best interests when talking to opposing teams about a Rose deal before the trade deadline. "It was an opportunity to see what his value truly was throughout the league," Armstrong said on Sirius XM NBA radio on Saturday. "So as you can see, through all the reports, there were teams that were interested in him and what he does and what he brings to the court."

Derrick Rose's agent, B.J. Armstrong, reiterated on Saturday that Rose "wants to be in New York" after the Knicks included the player in trade discussions prior to the trade deadline on Thursday. "Like I've said all along, and like he's said all along, you know what, he wants to be in New York. He feels comfortable there," Armstrong said on Sirius XM NBA radio. "But we understand the business."

Before and after talking to reporters, Derrick Rose said he had to go to catch a flight to Chicago. A Knicks spokesperson said Rose was joking and was not flying to Chicago. Rose missed a game against New Orleans on Jan. 9 when he went to Chicago for a family issue but did not tell the Knicks. He was fined by the team.

Derrick Rose spoke with Jeff Hornacek and Steve Mills after practice and said he holds no grudges toward the Knicks for having trade talks with Minnesota involving the point guard. "We didn't talk about any of that to tell you the truth," Rose said. "I hadn't received no calls about it. I am going to be professional about the situation, I know what it is. There are no grudges and no hard feelings about what was going on, if I was on the trading block or whatever. I know it is part of it. I want to be here. That is how I feel and he told me that I was alright."
