RB Matt Forte (knee) returned to practice Friday and could play Sunday for the Jets. He's listed as questionable. He was limited in his first practice in three weeks, but this is definitely a positive step. Coach Todd Bowles said it will be a game-time decision. DE Mo Wilkerson (foot/shoulder) and RG Brian Winters (abdomen) both are questionable. Look for them to play. CB Morris Claiborne (foot) practiced fully and is cleared to play.

Solid all-around half for Jontay Porter against St. John's. Was good defensively, hit a 3 from the top of the key, put it on the deck a little bit, should've had more than one assist. High IQ.

Prediction for Sunday: Unless the Jets signed a new offense during the bye week, this looms as a bad matchup. The Panthers rank among the league leaders in most of the major defensive categories and will cause problems for the Jets' inconsistent line. The Jets have allowed 204 rushing yards to opposing quarterbacks (tie-29th), hardly ideal when you're facing Cam Newton. The Jets also come up short when analyzing common opponents. Carolina's last three wins came against teams responsible for the Jets' last three losses (Tampa Bay, Atlanta and Miami). Panthers 27, Jets 17
