Just three years after winning the Stanley Cup, and 50 years before their next one, the Rangers finished dead last in the NHL, with a 6-39 record and just 17 points -- the lowest total in franchise history. Their goalie, Ken McAuley (pictured) gave up 310 goals for a stunning 6.24 GAA. Rock bottom: a 15-0 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Jan. 23, 1944. -- Matt Marrone
