April 5, 2013 -- On a night the Knicks honor the 40th anniversary of the team's most recent title, Melo ties yet another franchise scoring mark, pouring in 40 or more points for a third consecutive game with a 41-spot in a 101-83 romp against the Bucks at the Garden. Melo credits having the legendary 1973 squad on hand as being extra motivation. "Just to know that (1972-73) team's history and know what they were able to do and to see most of the guys come back here was an inspiration. They're fans of ours just as much as we're fans of theirs."
