Jan. 11, 2013 -- In the wake of the Melo-KG dustup, Knicks owner James Dolan orders microphones to record all in-game conversations involving Anthony and the players around him during a game against the Bulls at Madison Square Garden. Dolan instructs technicians to place two microphones on opposite ends of the court in an effort, league sources later tell ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard, to protect his star forward, not spy on him. The NBA's response? Nothing to see, or hear, here: "There are no prohibitions against having audio equipment in the arena," NBA's senior vice president of basketball communications Tim Frank assures afterward.
