Blame Grigson, not Luck, for Colts' mess

"When you pay Andrew what we did, it's going to take some time to build on the other side of the ball," said Colts GM Ryan Grigson, who has had plenty of time and not much to show for it in Indy.

Football. And football. Same name, two totally different sports. But one thing they do have in common is iconic uniforms that help shape team identities. With the club season in full swing (and amid international break monotony), we had some fun.

The Giants take a 17-10 fourth quarter lead over the Rams on the TD run by Rashad Jennings, but the key play in that drive came on Eli Manning's third down pass to Odell Beckham, Jr. With Beckham aligned in a bunch look, the Giants WR got a free release off the line of scrimmage and did an excellent job adjusting to the ball on the finish. That set up the Giants in the red zone.

Over the last two weeks, Titans QB Marcus Mariota has produced seven total TDs (six TD passes, one TD run) and ranks second in total fantasy points during that stretch (57 points). With the Titans using more QB designed runs (zone-read, QB counter, etc.), Mariota should be considered a QB1 today in deeper leagues versus a Colts defense giving up an average of 18.3 points per game to opposing quarterbacks (24th in the NFL).

The Giants have struggled to run for much of this season, so that was some amazing confidence from coach Ben McAdoo to run the ball up the middle on three consecutive plays to secure a goal-to-goal touchdown.

For what it's worth, Dolphins kicker Andrew Franks just nailed 41- and 43-yard field goals in warmups. Franks missed a field goal and had another one blocked last week against the Steelers.

This is why so many people have had difficulty believing the Rams are for real. Even when Case Keenum has some good stretches as a quarterback, he's never demonstrated that he can be at his best in the most important part of a game on a consistent basis. In other words, if you're counting on him in the clutch, you're going to be disappointed more often than not. Fourth quarter interceptions are killers.

And for the second time, Case Keenum throws an interception on a deflected pass intended for Tavon Austin. This one is on him. Awful throw. Since those first two drives, he has not had a good day.

PICK! Landon Collins gets his 2nd INT of the day. Giants and Rams still tied 10-10.
