Matt Forte played 20 snaps in his debut. Rookie CB Juston Burris (42) led defensive players. Todd Bowles said he wanted to see Burris against top competition. TE Jace Amaro was dressed, but he didn't get into the game. He missed practice time with a groin injury.

The Bills have signed QB Austin Trainor, his agent David Canter announced on Twitter. Trainor, who played at West Georgia, tried out for the Bills during rookie minicamp in 2015. The team was without Cardale Jones (shoulder soreness) in last Friday's game in Washington.

Steelers also placed quarterback Dustin Vaughan on the Waived/Injured list and released eight players - linebackers Jordan Zumwalt and Mike Reilly, wide receivers Issac Blakeney and Levi Norwood, tight end Michael Cooper, defensive end Giorgio Newberry, defensive tackle Khaynin Mosley-Smith, and cornerback Julian Whigham. NFL teams must reduce their rosters to 75 players by 4 p.m. Tuesday. The Steelers are at 79.
