Cardell Hayes' friend Kevin O'Neal called to the stand by the state. The assistant district attorney honing in on O'Neal's statements to media and the grand jury about how he felt like he could handle the men trying to fight him and he wasn't really in fear for his life until he heard gunshots. The state is making the point that no one expected worse than a physical altercation. O'Neal is stressing that Hayes was under attack by Will Smith, though, and that multiple people were trying to restrain him. He said it was maybe five people trying to restrain Smith. No one has testified to this happening yet.
