The Redskins lost their second consecutive game, falling to the Cardinals, 31-23, in a game where the defense did little to help. Arizona gained 369 yards, but dominated on third downs and made every big play it needed, capped by a 42-yard touchdown pass for the clinching points late. The Redskins now trail Tampa Bay for the sixth and final playoff spot by half a game with four remaining. Two weeks ago the Redskins were in a good spot to control their playoff fate. QB Kirk Cousins threw for 271 yards – he had 89 at halftime. But RB David Johnson killed the Redskins' defense with 175 total yards.

Rex Ryan on Tyrod Taylor: "We feel pretty comfortable with Tyrod." He says there are "other factors" affecting Taylor's play. When asked what, he declines to say and adds, "you guys can figure it out."
