Mike McCarthy praised Clay Matthews (shoulder) for playing hurt against the Texans. "I think it says volumes about him," McCarthy said. "Hopefully he can get some strength and work through the week and hopefully he's further ahead than he was yesterday. He was obviously playing through a tough situation."

Mike McCarthy said OLB Nick Perry is "still going through some evaluations" on his left hand. Perry tried to play with a cast on in the second half Sunday against the Texans but didn't last long.
