He did not go through the pre-practice stretching but he is in his practice jersey and helmet. Like Wednesday, he threw passes in pat and go and ball security drills.

Panthers DT Vernon Butler, who returned from missing three games with a high ankle sprain this week, was on the bike working with the trainer after tweaking something during a drill. Will update later.

A number of key players are sitting out: DE Mo Wilkerson (ankle), C Nick Mangold (ankle), LB Darron Lee (ankle) and CB Buster Skrine (knee). Looks like WR Brandon Marshall (foot) will try to practice.

Sounds like running back Don Jackson did OK with the protective glove he wore on his injured left hand in practice yesterday. "He looked good," Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. "He's got that contraption that he's dealing with, but I thought he handled the football very well."

Mario Edwards, Jr. has joined the Raiders here in Sarasota. The defensive end has been an Injured Reserve with a hurt hip since the start of the season but was eligible to start practicing last week should the Raiders choose to bring him back from IR.
