Week 9 TJ's Takes

Editor's note: Due to popular demand TJ's Take will be returning for the rest of the season.

Here's my quick review of everything we saw in Week 9 of the 2004 NFL season:

Offensive player of the week
Steelers running back Jerome Bettis. Starting in place of Duce Staley, he ran 33 times for 149 yards as the Steelers blasted another undefeated team (Philadelphia), 27-3

Defensive player of the week
Bears defensive end Alex Brown. Totaled eight tackles, four sacks, forced a fumble and knocked down a pass as the Bears surprised the Giants, 28-21.

Coaching move(s) of the Week
Bill Belichick. Used wide receiver Troy Brown on defense, had linebacker Mike Vrabel catch a touchdown pass and kicker Adam Vinatieri throw for a score.

Next week
Seven of next week's 14 games (the last week of byes) are divisional tilts, including key rematches between the Seahawks and Rams, and Steelers and Browns.
