St. Louis Rams general manager Billy Devaney had a casual meeting with the agent for Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford in the lobby of the hotel Tuesday where the NFL was conducting its annual meetings.
Tom Condon, the agent, said the discussion with Devaney concerned Bradford's first workout on March 29 and a follow-up visit between the two sides and a potential private workout.
The Rams hold the first pick in next month's draft and are expected to select Bradford if the quarterback is deemed medically sound following shoulder surgery to reconstruct his AC joint. His pro day workout at Oklahoma will be the first time NFL scouts will have seen him throw the football since his junior season was cut short by the injury.
Devaney joked that if there had been anything more substantial in his discussions Tuesday with Condon, "You wouldn't see us [in public view]."
