Research Notes

  • NEXT LEVEL: Matthew Stafford completed 5-of-18 passes thrown more than 10 yards on Sunday versus Minnesota, including 2-of-7 passes when targeting Calvin Johnson. Stafford has regressed passing deep this season, but his receivers are partly to blame with six drops on deep passes in four games played.

  • NEXT LEVEL: Adrian Peterson attempted all 21 of his rushes inside the tackles on Sunday, gaining 102 yards and averaging 4.9 yards per rush. The Vikings have limited Peterson's rushes to mainly straight-ahead runs after his ACL injury last season, as he has gained 94.6 percent of his rushing yards between the tackles in his first four games of 2012.
