Research Notes

  • Mark Sanchez's Total QBR in the game was 10.0. Sanchez has two of the 11 lowest QBR games (among qualified passers) this season.

  • NEXT LEVEL: Mark Sanchez completed just five passes of five or fewer yards downfield on 16 attempts Monday. Sanchez had as many balls tipped or batted at the line of scrimmage as he did completions at that distance.

  • NEXT LEVEL: The Texans won despite a lack of production from Andre Johnson. He was targeted five times against the Jets, catching just one, dropping two and one was an interception by Matt Schaub. It was Johnson's first multi-drop game since Week 2 of the 2009 season against the Titans. Johnson has dropped at least one ball in three of his five games this season.

  • NEXT LEVEL: The Texans sent five or more pass rushers on 21 of the Jets' 35 dropbacks Monday (60.0 percent), their highest percentage in a game this season. All three of the Texans' sacks Monday came when they sent five or more pass rushers, after they had two sacks in those situations in the first four weeks of the season.

  • NEXT LEVEL: J.J. Watt had two batted passes Monday to bring his season total to five, the most in the NFL. Watt now has 8.5 sacks this season, which also leads the league, and his sack against the Jets was his second this season when the Texans sent five or more pass rushers.

  • NEXT LEVEL: Arian Foster rushed for 147 of his 152 yards inside the tackles Monday, his most in a game this season and the third-most in a game in his career. Nine of Foster's 29 rushes came with three tight ends on the field Monday, after he had 11 rushes in those situations in the previous two weeks combined.
