Research Notes

  • -- When trailing in the fourth quarter on Sunday, Manning completed all four of his passes, including a touchdown. Manning led the Broncos on their third game-winning drive of the season en route to setting the NFL record for the most game-winning drives (48) in the fourth quarter or overtime since the merger.

  • Peyton Manning had a Total QBR of 94.7 in Sunday's 31-23 win over the Bengals. It was the fourth time in the last five games that Manning posted a Total QBR over 90 and the fifth time this season. No other player in the NFL has more than three such games.

  • Peyton Manning entered Week 9 having used a shotgun formation on an AFC-high 83 percent of his dropbacks this season and the Broncos didn't shy away from it on Sunday. Manning went out of the shotgun on 31 of his 35 dropbacks against the Bengals (89 percent), including all three of his touchdown passes.

  • Peyton Manning was perfect on underneath throws against the Bengals on Sunday, completing all 18 attempts thrown within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. He joins Aaron Rodgers (Week 4 - 2012) as the only players to be perfect on such throws with at least 18 attempts over the last five seasons.

  • From Elias: Eric Decker has scored a Rec TD in 5 straight weeks (6 Rec TD in that span). Each of those Rec TD were inside the redzone.

  • Trindon Holliday's 105 yard kickoff return TD is longest in Broncos history.
